National High School Finals Rodeo Day 2
Rain and Wind welcomed rodeo contestants to the second night of competition at the National High School Finals Rodeo. Gusts exceeding 50 mph introduced many contestants to their first dose of sideways rain.. Lightening temporarily halted the event Monday night, but the scheduled events would be completed before the night ended. As things winded down, and the wind calmed down enough for my microphone to function I spoke with Grant Griffin from Team Wyoming.
The Junior from Wheatland will compete in the Bronc riding Tuesday and Thursday. “It's sort of a flabbergast having this many people here, I'm used to almost nobody but Wyoming folks showing up for a rodeo.” said Griffin. The NRA light rifle competition beings today in Green River , with Rodeo performances at 9am and 7pm in Rock Springs. If you can't make it out, You can watch all of the events via webstream at www.ihigh.com/nhsra
