Around 5,000 of the counties nearly 14,000 registered voters have turned in their ballots, and there's going to be at least one maybe two new faces on the Green River City Council by next year. Ward 3 incumbent Jim Boan only received 145 votes has been ousted by James Broustein and Brett Stokes, with 163 and 288 votes respectively. In Ward 1 incumbent Gene Smith will be on the ballot for the Nov. 6th election, but he did not come out on top of the voting numbers last night, his 278 votes were second to Mark Peterson with 299. The county commissioners race was too close to call right down to the very last district reporting in, But the two incumbents on the ballot will move on with current chairman Wally Johnson winning the race, and Don Van Matre coming in a close second.
