Bio: My dad who is pictured on the right joined the Army in 1973 and served for 3 years and was honorably discharged in December of 1976. His Division he was in was actually General Patton’s Division when he served. My dad actually got to meet General Patton’s Grandson when he was in the Army who at the time was a 2 star General. While in the Army my dad was a wheel vehicle mechanic, track mechanic, and a recovery specialist. Some of the best memories he had while serving was going to Lake Travis in Austin, TX with his friends on their days off and enjoying the Beerfests in Germany while on days off.
After my dad got out of the Army he made his way to Green River, WY in 1978 and hired on at FMC as a miner. While at FMC he has performed many jobs including: miner, blaster, driller, cutter, and mechanic. He has been at FMC 35 years this June. He is a proud father of 2 boys myself Ryan Claxton and my brother Sean Claxton, and is married to his best friend, my mom Rose Claxton. Thanks dad for serving our country, I salute you.
